I can't claim a lot of credit. Most of this was already plotted by others. But I've done a little bit, and the whole route I took from Newcastle to Edinburgh now looks complete. For the uninitiated, it's the red line labeled [1] that follows the coast up to Berwick then turns inland, then over the hills to Edinburgh.

Indeed - but having 'completed' routes makes it all the more useful and it's great to see another big section ticked off. The missing bit of NCN1 there had been sticking out like a sore thumb for ages!
I was just going to comment as the others. Filling the gaps can sometimes be more important. You have to track down where the route leads at times and sometimes the missing sections might just get left for some time if nobody goes for completing the map.
Well done and I'm sure you enjoyed it.
